Shepherd of Our School Year
As a new academic year begins, parents, teachers, and communities seek strength and guidance to support our children. This prayer, Shepherd of Our School Year: 12 Blessings to Guide Our Children, is written as a call-and-response, inspired by Psalm 23. It serves as both a spiritual blessing and a practical reminder of the values and virtues that nurture our children—focus, empathy, adaptability, responsibility, and wisdom.
Whether used in a family devotion, a school assembly, or a church service, this prayer invites us to journey together, trusting God as the Shepherd of our school year.
