This programme provides a range of valuable benefits. Ten successful applicants from Afrograms Senior School will receive:

Paid Virtual Assistants work during their opportunity pursuit
To apply, students in SS1, SS2, and SS3 must submit an essay by attempting the tasks below and emailing it to [email protected].

MaxME Catalyst Projects is a coaching organisation that equips young individuals with the skills and certification needed to thrive as virtual assistants (VAs). Through our program, you'll gain the knowledge and experience to land rewarding VA positions that offer competitive pay equal to or exceeding minimum wage.
In this exciting role, you'll develop in-demand skills that will allow you to:
- Provide remote administrative, technical, and creative support to clients.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and handle communication (emails and calls).
- Assist with travel arrangements (if applicable).
- Create professional presentations, documents, and reports.
- Maintain organised databases and spreadsheets.
- Conduct research and compile informative data.
- Manage social media accounts (depending on the client's needs).
- Provide excellent customer service (if applicable).
- Take initiative on assigned administrative tasks.
To be a successful MaxME Certified Virtual Assistant, you should possess:
- A strong desire to learn and a commitment to growth.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to manage your time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

To all students interested in applying for the MaxMe Catalyst Programme, please read and follow the instructions below for writing and submitting your essay:
- Please review the tasks listed above and make sure that your responses are a maximum of 1000 words for each task. Utilise the total word limit to delve deeply into your perspectives and insights.
- Each task will be graded 35 marks, so offer comprehensive and insightful responses to maximise your score.
- Meditate and carefully consider your responses to each task to ensure that your essay demonstrates profound thought and sincerity.
- Remember to utilise the resources provided in each task to help you formulate your answers. Drawing from a variety of resources will enrich your essay and demonstrate your comprehensive understanding of the topics.
- Take into account that your CV and cover letter carry 10 marks each. Ensure they are professionally crafted and tailored to highlight your skills, experiences, and aspirations that are most relevant to the MaxMe Catalyst Programme.
- For an additional 10 marks, show how you synchronise all the tasks together. Ensure that your responses to each task, as well as your CV and cover letter, all work together to present a cohesive and compelling application package.
- Once your essay, CV, and cover letter are completed, please email them to [email protected] with the subject line: "My MaxMe Catalyst Essay Submission - [Your Name] - SS[Your Class]".
- Please note that the deadline for all submissions is 11:59 PM on the 4th of August. After you submit your essay, CV, and cover letter, you should receive feedback within two weeks.

Obtaining Old Student Sponsors Strategy:
- I will select a panel of Old Students and another career adviser to score and select the best ten applicants.
- We will have a team of career professionals from the old students shortlist all the essays of the 42 applicants.
- After the initial shortlisting, the best 20 candidates will be shortlisted for virtual interviews to verify the authenticity of your essays. The shortlisting of essays will be anonymous.
- Following the training, we will select the best 10 candidates to be presented to the Old Students platforms, detailing the support needed.
- Interested Old Students will choose a student to support and sponsor throughout the process.
- Successful applicants will be able to provide virtual support to old students.
- In return, the Old Student must provide the necessary infrastructure to be an effective Virtual Assistant.
- In cases where we do not have enough old students to sponsor the students, we will provide support to help them secure a virtual role.
- All successful applicants will join a network of Virtual Assistants to continue developing their skills and supporting each other.
