Analytics is optional and remains under your control.
SamSoyombo.com uses a small amount of storage needed to remember your privacy choice. Google Analytics is loaded only after you actively accept analytics.
At a glance
No analytics tag is loaded before you accept analytics.
Rejecting non-essential cookies leaves Google Analytics disabled. Accepting analytics enables measurement of public website use so SCP can understand page usage and improve the website. Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
What SamSoyombo.com stores
| Cookie or storage | Purpose | When used | Maximum lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
scp_analytics_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics so the website does not repeatedly ask on every page. | After you make a cookie choice. | 180 days. |
_ga and _ga_* | Google Analytics identifiers used to distinguish website usage for aggregate measurement. | Only after you accept analytics. | The website configures Google Analytics cookies not to exceed 180 days. |
How the analytics control works
- Analytics storage starts in a denied state.
- The Google Analytics script is not requested by the website until you select Accept analytics.
- Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent and advertising personalisation remain denied.
- Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in the website configuration.
- If you later reject analytics, the website changes analytics consent to denied, removes accessible
_gacookies for SamSoyombo.com and reloads the page so the analytics runtime is no longer active on that page.
What we measure
The initial implementation is deliberately limited to ordinary GA4 website measurement such as page views and navigation usage. SCP should not send public-form message content, SCOPE reflection text, passwords, payment information, confidential case information or other unnecessary personal data to Google Analytics.
Additional events should be added only when they have a clear measurement purpose, use non-sensitive event names and parameters, and have been reviewed against this notice.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie choices in the website footer at any time. Choosing Reject non-essential disables analytics for subsequent use from that browser until you change the choice again or the preference expires.
You can also clear cookies or site data using your browser controls. Browser privacy tools, extensions and network settings may independently block or modify analytics requests.
External services
Some SCP pages link to or optionally use external services such as YouTube, Calendly, involve.me or Telegram. Those providers may operate their own storage and privacy controls when you choose to use them. Read the SCP Privacy Notice for the broader description of website and third-party data flows.
