1. Praise, my soul, the King of heaven,

to his feet your tribute bring;

ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,

who like you his praise should sing?

Alleluia, alleluia!

praise the everlasting King.

2. Praise him for his grace and favour

to our fathers in distress;

praise him, still the same as ever,

slow to blame and swift to bless;

Alleluia, alleluia!

glorious in his faithfulness.

3. Father-like, he tends and spares us,

All our hopes and fears he knows;

in his hands he gently bears us,

rescues us from all our foes:

Alleluia, alleluia!

widely as his mercy flows.

4. Angels, help us to adore him;

you behold him face to face;

sun and moon, bow down before him,

praise him all in time and space.

Alleluia, alleluia!

praise with us the God of grace.

1. In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame.

2. In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
turn your ear to me and save me.

3. Be my rock of refuge,
to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.

4. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.

5. For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
my confidence since my youth.

6. From birth I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
I will ever praise you.

7. I have become a sign to many;
you are my strong refuge.

8. My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long.

9. Do not cast me away when I am old;
do not forsake me when my strength is gone.

10. For my enemies speak against me;
those who wait to kill me conspire together.

11. They say, “God has forsaken him;
pursue him and seize him,
for no one will rescue him.”

12. Do not be far from me, my God;
come quickly, God, to help me.

13. May my accusers perish in shame;
may those who want to harm me
be covered with scorn and disgrace.

14As for me, I will always have hope;
I will praise you more and more.

15. My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,
of your saving acts all day long—
though I know not how to relate them all.

16. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord;
I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.

17. Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.

18. Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power to the next generation,
your mighty acts to all who are to come.

19. Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,
you who have done great things.
Who is like you, God?

20. Though you have made me see troubles,
many and bitter,
you will restore my life again;
from the depths of the earth
you will again bring me up.

21. You will increase my honor
and comfort me once more.

22. I will praise you with the harp
for your faithfulness, my God;
I will sing praise to you with the lyre,
Holy One of Israel.

23. My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered.

24. My tongue will tell of your righteous acts
all day long,
for those who wanted to harm me
have been put to shame and confusion.
1. I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.

2. I will glory in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

3. Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt his name together.

4. I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.

5. Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.

6. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.

7. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.

8. Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

9. Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing.

10. The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

11. Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12. Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,

13. keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies.

14. Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.

15. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry;

16. but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth.

17. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.

18. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19. The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;

20. he protects all his bones,
not one of them will be broken.

21. Evil will slay the wicked;
the foes of the righteous will be condemned.

22. The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

1. Oh Lord My God, When I, In Awesome Wonder,
Consider All The Worlds Thy Hands Have Made;
I See The Stars; I Hear The Rolling Thunder,
Thy Power Throughout The Universe Displayed.

Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!
Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!

2. And When I Think, That God, His Son Not Sparing;
Sent Him To Die, I Scarce Can Take It In;
That On The Cross, My Burden Gladly Bearing,
He Bled And Died To Take Away My Sin.

Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!
Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!

3. When Through The Woods, And Forest Glades I Wander,
And Hear The Birds Sing Sweetly In The Trees.
When I Look Down, From Lofty Mountain Grandeur
And Hear The Brook, And Feel The Gentle Breeze.

Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!
Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!

4. When Christ Shall Come, With Shout Of Acclamation,
And Take Me Home, What Joy Shall Fill My Heart.
Then I Shall Bow, In Humble Adoration,
And Then Proclaim, “My God, How Great Thou Art!”

Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!
Then Sings My Soul, My Saviour God, To Thee,
How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!

1. Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

2. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine with 10, 000 besides

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

1. Now thank we all our God
with heart and hands and voices,
who wondrous things has done,
in whom his world rejoices;
who from our mothers' arms
has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today.

2. O may this bounteous God
through all our life be near us,
with ever joyful hearts
and blessed peace to cheer us,
to keep us in his grace,
and guide us when perplexed,
and free us from all ills
of this world in the next.

3. All praise and thanks to God
the Father now be given,
the Son and Spirit blest,
who reign in highest heaven
the one eternal God,
whom heaven and earth adore;
for thus it was, is now,
and shall be evermore.

    Mummy Samusi! your life was full of testing periods that have become your testimonies, the messes that are now your messages, and the hopelessness that upholds that we should always be hopeful.

    I am thankful to God for sending me into this world through you. Thanks for all your efforts and selflessness in seeing that we all turned out well.

    Mummy, see how your latter days’ glory is so much greater than your former days. You are filled with so much joy. Mummy,

  2. Lord, I praise you for the gift of a mother like my mummy. Mummy, you are both gentle and strong, humble, kind and true. Mummy, you are a positive guidance and representation of unwavering faith in God. Mummy, you delivered unconditional love and teachable moments in my life. You are my real hero. You continue to give out love and support regardless of other pressures. You go above and beyond. You rarely express your needs; you often consider yourself last in everything when your needs are just as important as everyone else’s. Thanks for all the sacrifices you made and still make. May God grant you the courage, strength and grace you need to face the uncertain future that life brings. I am confident that you are going to see Jesus wherever the time is right to pass to the other side of eternity. We continue to thank God for all that He alone enables you. I love you loads, Ma.

  20. Dear mummy Soyombo,

    Happy 80th Birthday ma!

    I thank God for the true mother that you are, one cannot share what they don’t have. You showed me true love from the moment I met you ma. Your regular calls, prayers, food sent to me and chats means so much to me. Thanks for the understanding because sometimes I can’t return your call immediately, you do understand without any grudge. Its strange for me to refer to you as my sister’s mother in law ( for the reason of this write up I had to). Its a living testimony that the genuine love you have for my sister is extended to me also, a life learnt lesson that love is not limited to the person that’s married to the family alone. I appreciate you always ma

    I wish you many years ahead with strength, grace and perfect health ma

    Enjoy the favour and blessings of your new age ma. Love you as always ma.

  21. Dear Grandma Barking as we fondly call you ma.
    Thank you for your consistent support, advice, love, compassion and most importantly for demonstrating your commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
    You have positively impacted so many lives in different ways and our God will surely reward your labour of love. Amen!
    As we celebrate your 80th Birthday,
    The Lord will continue to enlarge your coasts and satisfy your mouth with good things.

    Happy Birthday ma, and have a glorious day.
